Helped with startup for this 501c3 nonprofit working to improve the quality of life for Kenyan orphans through education and support relating to daily needs and sustenance. Our goal was to build a boarding school. While here I raised money through social media and grassroots marketing initiatives and researched and wrote a grant that was awarded for a $35,000 well. This environmental nonprofit based out of New York City has been actively working at reducing idling since 2006. What started as a grassroots movement has grown to being featured in The New York Times, NPR, CBS, NBC, BBC, HBO, New York Post, The New Yorker, New York Magazine and more. Researched and wrote a grant proposal for New York City Community Trust for funding to raise funds to cover their smart phone idling app developed. Daytona Middle School - Education, Mental Health

While working as a full-time teacher, I volunteered to produce the entire technology education curriculum for the LHUSD Middle School programs that was approved by the school board. I then researched and wrote a proposal for a grant that was awarded $1,300 for my technology program. I volunteered to teach a technology in-service to school teachers and administration.
